The Blacklist on NBC at 9:00pm ET.

Scandal on ABC at 9:00pm ET. Hey! This is back! If the last major plot line didn’t completely slap your taste for this show out of your mouth, that is. Two auctions. TWO!

American Crime on ABC at 10:00pm ET. Series premiere. I kept getting the commercials for this show and the one where Ryan Philippe may have killed a kid mixed into a blur, but if I have it right this is the better one? It focuses on one crime and uses that as a jumping off point to explore the issues of race, class, and gender politics in America. It also has Felicity Huffman, Timothy Hutton, and Regina King, and was created by John Ridley who wrote 12 Years a Slave, so I’ve got high hopes.

Archer on FX at 10:00pm ET.

Dig on USA at 10:00pm ET. Series premiere. USA tossing their hat into the “centuries old conspiracy” genre. Jason Issacs is an FBI agent investigating the death of a young American in Jerusalem, but of course things are not what they seem. Probably something to do with a bunch of dudes running around in robes, old books, and the kind of torture scenes that make you genuinely concerned for the mental health of the writer. But hey, maybe they’ll surprise us all and let their ancient cult members wear pants or something.

Genevieve Burgess never expected the “Olivia as Helen of Troy” concept would be taken that seriously.
