The Real Winners of This Christmas Card are Hair Products and Veneers
I Love Lucy Christmas Special on CBS at 8:00pm ET. I’d make a crack about how “timely” this is, but given CBS’s audience it’s probably the highlight of their week. I only worry that it might be on past their usual bedtime. By the way, in case anyone wants to get snippy with me about that crack; while good humor is always timeless, the last episode of I Love Lucy aired on May 6th, 1957. I think that once shows are closing in on 60 years old, we can admit that perhaps they do not have a thriving and vibrant audience anymore, especially since half of you seem to be unable to remember what shows are actually still ON TV.
WWE Tribute to the Troops on USA at 8:00pm ET.
Alaskan Bush People on Discovery at 9:00pm ET.
Chrisley Knows Best on USA at 10:00pm ET. This is a special called “Leaving the Nest” and I have to say that this show seems to epitomize what I hate about reality series: in sitcoms, people snark at each other and make mean jokes because it’s acting, and a script, and no one has real feelings or relationships so a laugh line counts more than kindness. The commercials I’ve seen for this seem to have a lot of those same kind of digs, except it’s A REAL FAMILY and that’s a little worrisome.
Science Special: 2015: The Year in Technology on Science at 10:00pm ET. And with that, I will not be attempting to make television sound appealing again until 2016. I wish you all the happiest of midwinters and will see you here again when we have a whole new year to disappoint us.
