A Little Less Spree Killing, A Little More Coffee and Contemplation
Survivor on CBS at 8:00pm ET. Two-hour 36th season premiere.
The X-Files on Fox at 8:00pm ET.
9-1-1 on Fox at 9:00pm ET. After reading Tori’s coverage of the events on the show, I’m not sure how much I’d enjoy watching it, since reading about weird accidents/medical issues/surgeries is basically a regular Thursday night on Wikipedia or Buzzfeed for me. I don’t really need more dramatizations. If anything, I’ve found they generally tame things DOWN to get them on TV because the real stories are weirder, grosser, or just flat out less believable. I’m glad it gives Connie Britton and Angela Basset something to do, though.
American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace on FX at 10:00pm ET. I thought this week was the last episode, but it’s the penultimate episode. I’ve really been missing Edgar Ramirez’s Versace the last few episodes, so I hope there’s more time with him in the last couple episodes. Darren Criss is doing an excellent job playing a spiraling narcissistic psychopath, but it’s also driving me straight up a wall watching him. Seeing Ramirez’s kind, calm, and focused Versace would be a nice change of pace.
Channel Zero: Butcher’s Block on SyFy at 10:00pm ET.
