Mike and Molly on CBS at 8:31pm ET. Fifth season premiere.

The Great Christmas Light Fight on ABC at 8:00pm ET. Second season premiere. Hey, guys, have you heard about the War on Christmas? I’ve skimmed a few headlines, so I’m not up to speed on the specifics, but I would assume that this “fight” over Christmas lights is some sort of televised skirmish, correct? And then the winner gets to hoard all the Christmas lights and the losers have to huddle in fear and darkness until next season, since a lack of proper Christmas lights leaves you vulnerable to hostile atheist invasions where a bunch of people wearing Toms shoes come to your house and throw a non-denominational vegan “Holiday” party and discuss Christopher Hitchens or something? Maybe that was a fever dream I had one year after eating all the advent calendar chocolate in one sitting.

Jane the Virgin on The CW at 9:00pm ET.

Regarding Susan Sontag on HBO at 9:00pm ET. A documentary covering the life of the provocative writer through her own words, the experiences of those who knew her, and other archival materials.

Castle on ABC at 10:00pm ET. Seventh season fall finale.

Genevieve Burgess is convinced that the War on Christmas is a propaganda campaign designed to distract us from the hostile takeover of Thanksgiving.
