Sunday Night Football: Carolina Panthers at Denver Broncos on NBC at 8:30pm ET. 30th season premiere. Oh, good, it’s the time of year where I get to yell at the NFL for not understanding how days of the week work for a few months again. We’re replaying the Super Bowl, because I guess even Roger Goodell can’t figure out how the Broncos won the last time. If the Panthers win this time, do they make Peyton stop selling shitty pizza? I’ve never studied the rules of American football particularly closely.

Beauty and the Beast on The CW at 9:00pm ET.

Beat Bobby Flay on Food Network at 10:00pm ET. Ninth season finale. Last chance to get in this joke about how Stephanie March already took care of that for us.

Better Things on FX at 10:00pm ET. Series premiere. The latest in FX’s stream of “sitcoms” that are actually more along the line of “sit-dramedys” and really more “sit-studies in the human condition.” I definitely need to work on a catchier nickname for them, since they’re going to be their own Emmy category soon and I definitely need to force the Emmys to license whatever we’re calling them from me. ANYWAY, this one is about a single mom of three girls and looks alternately uncomfortably amusing and horrifyingly familiar. Starring Pamela Adlon, who will be very familiar to Louie fans.

The Real Housewives of Melbourne on Bravo at 10:00pm ET.
