Bye Felicia! on VH1 at 9:00pm ET. Series premiere. In what has to be one of the best examples of the zeitgeist, this suddenly popular catchphrase is now the title of a reality series that will follow “life coaches” Deborah Hawkes and Missy Young as they attempt to increase the self-esteem of “white girls across the Los Angeles area.” I hate to break it to them, but as a former middle class white girl, I would not say that’s a demographic in need of a boost, self-esteem wise. Especially the ones willing to go on reality TV.
Marvel’s Agents of Shield on ABC at 9:00pm ET. Second season fall finale.
New Girl on Fox at 9:00pm ET. Fourth season fall finale.
Sons of Anarchy on FX at 10:00pm ET. Series finale. Alright, guys, bets include who dies, when in the episode they die, and just how goddamn long the episode will be. Having seen none of this season, I’m going with 1. Everyone 2.Once every 5-10 minutes and 3. You’re not getting out of here until midnight.
The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show on CBS at 10:00pm ET. The yearly bacchanal of rhinestones, wings, lace, and pop music is back. This years artists include Taylor Swift (obviously, she’s practically dating one of the models), Ed Sheeran, Ariana Grande, and… Hozier. If you’re not familiar with “Take Me to Church” I highly recommend that video. If you ARE familiar with the song, then I recommend his live performance on SNL because that tall drink of Irishman is the real deal. I seriously wonder how many times they had to rehearse his segment before the models stopped throwing their underwear at him. Also, I desperately want to get a drink with the booker for this show and figure out if they’re just booking the highest charting acts they can get or if they’re actively trying to usher their adolescent fans through puberty with that lineup.
Genevieve Burgess will probably be watching that fashion show for the first time… ever, actually.
