Same, Guys, Same.
2016 Summer Olympics on NBC at 8:00pm ET. Gymnastics is over, but we still have plenty of exciting track & field events, including day one of the decathlon. We also have women’s platform diving, and beach volleyball is listed but since the US will be in the bronze medal match starting at 9pm, I’m not sure how that will fit in with the rest of the night’s programming.
My Last Days on The CW at 9:00pm ET. Series premiere. This is a documentary series about people facing terminal illnesses, and is three nights long. It’s about people using their limited time to do the most good they can. It’s created and hosted by Justin Baldoni, better known as Rafael on Jane the Virgin, but man does it sound more like a three-day sob fest rather than the uplifting celebration of the human spirit they’re going for. Maybe I’m wrong, but I’m not gonna be watching to find out.
Suits on USA at 9:00pm ET.
Another Period on Comedy Central at 10:00pm ET. Second season finale.
Mr.Robot on USA at 10:00pm ET. I am hopelessly behind on this, and it’s partially because of the Olympics, but also a lot because nothing’s really hooked me so far this season. I think I’ve only seen the first two episodes, so if it picks up let me know, otherwise this might be a rainy weekend binge sometime this fall or winter.
