Extant on CBS at 9:00pm ET. I got bored. And I had a hard time maintaining the premise that highly educated and trained scientists (because those are the ONLY kind of people who would be eligible for a solo space mission lasting months) would be so blind to answers that were clearly right in front of them. Of course, this is a problem with TV that likes to let its audience in on secrets the characters don’t know; if the characters are supposed to be intelligent, the premise is always going to be ridiculous. Either there’s 100% no clues to follow, which is impossible in its own right, or the clues are obvious enough for your average TV viewer to grasp while super scientists/doctors/agents are all “WHAT DOES IT MEAN?!?” and people watching are all “OH MY GOD, DID THEY BEAT YOU WITH THE STUPID STICK BEFORE THE SERIES STARTED?!?”
Legends on TNT at 9:00pm ET. So, is Sean Bean dead yet or nah?
The Bridge on FX at 10:00pm ET.
Franklin and Bash on TNT at 10:00pm ET. I’ve actually seen a few episodes of this and then remembered that I can’t actually remember which one is Franklin and which one is Bash. Then I realized it absolutely does not matter.
Operation Maneater - Great White Shark on PBS at 10:00pm ET. Awww, did someone forget to tell PBS that Shark Week is over? That’s too cute.
Genevieve Burgess really hopes PBS doesn’t give into peer pressure from Discovery and TLC. They’re far too good for the sort of nonsense those ruffians are into these days.
