Hollywood Game Night on NBC at 8:00pm ET.

Labyrinth on The CW at 8:00pm ET. Original mini-series premiere. Fret not, gentle readers! This is NOT an adaptation of the popular 1986 movie staring David Bowie’s crotch bulge and Jennifer Connelly. This is an adaptation of the book by Kate Mosse and was aired in the UK and Canada a couple years ago. Why it wasn’t aired here I have no clue, but the plot involves two women in modern and medieval France bonded by a search for the Holy Grail. The cast includes Jessica Brown Findlay of Downton Abbey fame, Tom Felton of Harry Potter fame, Sebastian Stan of Captain America fame, Katie McGrath of Merlin and Dracula fame, and John Hurt of John Fuckin’ Hurt fame. The cast looks spectacular, so even though I’m always a bit wary of fiction dealing with time travel and the Holy Grail, this may be worth a look. Any metric readers care to weigh in?

Gang Related on Fox at 9:00pm ET. Series premiere. A new drama set in LA, and specifically featuring the LAPD Gang Task Force. There’s been some grumbling regarding the portrayal of the Latino community, and Fox actually screened the pilot for Homeboy Industries, an agency devoted to assisting former gang members, in addition to donating $10,000. I’m hoping that the producers take some of the comments from that screening to heart as the show develops.

Last Comic Standing on NBC at 9:01pm ET. Two-hour eighth season premiere.

Maron on IFC at 10:00pm ET.
