Genius on National Geographic Channel at 9:00pm ET. 75-minute series premiere. New television series about Albert Einstein, featuring his older and younger self. I was briefly worried that James Woods was involved given the image of old Einstein over there, but it’s just Geoffrey Rush and my issue with finding it harder to distinguish older actors the more jowly they get.

Great News on NBC at 9:00pm ET. Series premiere. This is a new series about a TV news producer whose mother becomes her new intern. I know that the concept of “HR” tends to be nonexistent on television workplace shows, but this is stretching plausibility in a whole new and different way. I mean, sure, HR can’t intervene immediately if two people just start up and doing it on someone’s desk like on every workplace show ever, but you’d think if a resume crossed their desk that was the mother of one of their employees, they wouldn’t go, “Ah, yes, the best thing we can do with this unique, late in life intern is to put her under the direct supervision of her own offspring. Brilliant!” Not even Pam would do that and Pam’s the worst HR person ever.

iZombie on The CW at 9:00pm ET. I understand that Rahul Kohli is an occasional fan of this site. This isn’t terrifying or intimidating in any way at all.

The Americans on FX at 10:00pm ET.

Through the Wormhole with Morgan Freeman on Science at 10:00pm ET. Seventh season spring premiere.
