Mary is Still Killing People, Unclear if She is Also Eating Them
The Alienist on TNT at 9:00pm Et.
iZombie on The CW at 9:00pm ET.
Mary Kills People on Lifetime at 9:00pm ET. Second season premiere. Did we like this? If you squinted it could have been a Hannibal spin-off, but it’s on Lifetime so I never followed up.
Living Biblically on CBS at 9:30pm ET.
Good Girls on NBC at 10:01pm ET. This is one of those shows where I want good things for everyone involved, but I’m baffled as to why it’s a show instead of a movie. Heists are movies. Making heists into shows means there comes a point where you cross the “dumb/plausible” threshold and start pissing off your viewers. There’s a certain amount of dumb twists and mistakes that are believable in things like this because, hey, people are generally pretty dumb and people who aren’t criminals attempting to BE criminals tend to be even dumber. But there’s definitely a tipping point where everyone either 1. should totally be in jail 2. should totally be dead or 3. transitions over to ACTUAL criminal and then the characterization and audience perception gets real weird. See: Breaking Bad and all the people who refused to grasp that Walt was a Bad Guy.
