Like a Competition to See Who Can Look the Most Punchable
American Ninja Warrior on NBC at 8:00pm ET.
So You Think You Can Dance on Fox at 8:00pm ET.
Preacher on AMC at 9:00pm ET.
Will on TNT at 9:00pm ET. I have been following reactions to this on social media and shockingly, most of the writers and other people who might have strong opinions about Shakespeare do not seem to like it! Which, like, if you’re making a show about Shakespeare, it seems like goal one is not to piss off the people who actually enjoy Shakespeare, since most of the country is going to blow it off as “too complicated” or “boring.” Whereas if you get the Shakespeare nerds on your side, we can use our blogging power to convince people it’s “prestige TV” and they should watch it to be up with the culture. But I don’t run TNT’s television department, and I would like to petition them to remedy that flaw immediately.
Loaded on AMC at 10:00pm ET. Series premiere. This is a comedy about a group of friends who have their gaming start-up bought and then suddenly become incredibly wealthy. It basically sounds like rampant douchebaggery, but if that “comedy” label is accurate maybe at least they’ll suffer for it a little bit.
