Like 'The Office' But in a Less Aspirational American Workplace
It’s Your 50th Christmas, Charlie Brown on ABC at 8:00pm ET. A special retrospective of A Charlie Brown Christmas hosted by Kristen Bell and featuring the classic Peanuts music by Vince Guaraldi, along with special performances by such disparate performers as Sarah McLachlan, Boyz II Men, Pentatonix, and Kristin Chenoweth. I know there’s got to be some kind of Disney synergy happening with most of those but I can only figure it out for like, 1 1/2 of them.
Gotham on Fox at 8:00pm ET. Second season fall finale.
Minority Report on Fox at 9:01pm ET. First season finale. This is the final episode that’s been made and all signs point to this not coming back. I’m hesitant to say “Good”, but if Almost Human couldn’t get its feet under itself, I don’t know why Fox went back to the “vaguely cinematic future buddy cop procedural” model.
Fargo on FX at 10:00pm ET.
Superstore on NBC at 10:00pm ET. Series premiere. A new comedy starring Ben Feldmen and America Ferrera as employees of a fake superstore in St.Louis. He’s a new hire, she’s a floor manager, vaguely romantic hijinks ensue. According to the early info, Ferrera’s character has been working at the store for 10 years, so nice to see they’re finally representing realistic career paths for milennials on TV.
