Lets Hope He Stretched Properly For His Epic Victory Lap
The 69th Annual Tony Awards on CBS at 8:00pm ET. The show will be hosted by Kristin Chenoweth and Alan Cumming, which should be kind of hilarious as Kristin is well-known for her Christian beliefs and background and I don’t think we have come up with a word that adequately describes Alan Cumming’s sexual proclivities yet. Should be fun!
2015 NBA Finals - “Game 2” on ABC at 8:00pm ET.
Game of Thrones on HBO at 9:00pm ET. This is the ninth episode, and traditionally this is where shit starts getting real in a “lots of people die” sort of way. I’d say that you should pray to the Seven for your favorites, but we know that there is only one god on this show, and his name is Death. I’ve also heard some rumors that this episode was aired early in some locations so please be considerate of your fellow viewers and do not post spoilers in the comments if you have seen it already.
Penny Dreadful on Showtime at 10:00pm ET.
Last Week Tonight with John Oliver on HBO at 11:00pm ET. This is outside the usual time range that I report on, but tonight’s episode should be pretty can’t miss. I hope they release a stand-alone type special that’s just all the reporting this show has done on FIFA because all of it has been excellent and now there’s a shockingly clear narrative arc to it. You could just call it “How Last Week Tonight Brought Down FIFA” and like five years from now that’s what everyone will believe really happened.
Genevieve Burgess almost wants to drink a Bud Light Lime in solidarity with Oliver. Almost. Not enough to actually do it.
