Survivor on CBS at 8:00pm ET. Two-hour, 28th season finale. I feel like there should be some kind of cheat-equation to figure out how long a show has been on air by what season it’s on. For most reality series you can just halve it, dramas and comedies tend to be one to one, BBC series you have to multiply by 1.5, etc. It won’t get you there every time, but since Survivor started in 2000 it works here.
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit on NBC at 9:00pm ET. 15th season finale. I hear that since I stopped watching this, they’ve gotten to the point where they should change the title to Law & Order: It’s ALWAYS Personal. It’s been renewed for a 16th season, so if you’re a fan of Olivia Benson scowling at perverts, you’ve got a lot to look forward to! Specifically another 22-24 episodes of exactly that, and maybe more depending on how long NBC wants to keep throwing giant bags of money at Mariska Hargitay.
The Americans on FX at 10:00pm ET. Second season finale.
Catfish on MTV at 10:00pm ET.
Motive on ABC at 10:00pm ET. It’s summer replacement series amnesia test time! Where I see promos for shows and go “Man, that won’t last the summer” and then see the words “second season” pop up and go hug my DVD collection.
Genevieve Burgess wishes Mariska Hargitay all the giant bags of money she wishes to collect.
