Shots Fired on Fox at 8:00pm ET. Series premiere. This is a new show about police shootings, but it’s a black police officer who kills an unarmed, white college student. I’m sure that the creators are trying to say things about the issue of deference to the police and institutional power and all of that but I am raising my eyebrow just about as far as I can raise it. Which is not too far. I am not Gillian Anderson or Dwayne The Rock Johnson, my idols in eyebrow-related emoting.

Empire on Fox at 9:00pm ET. Third season spring premiere. The other day I was talking about this show and I realized that I probably would’ve stuck with it if they’d actually killed off Lucious at the end of the first season. I understand why they didn’t, but the theme of shows giving a character a terminal disease and then dancing away from them actually dying when they get renewed is starting to get to me.

The Magicians on Syfy at 9:00pm ET.

The Expanse on Syfy at 10:00pm ET.

Legion on FX at 10:00pm ET. Guys, I adore this show. I know it’s super weird. I know the pacing is kinda fucked. I still love it. I’m so happy someone let this be on television.
