The World Dog Awards on The CW at 8:00pm ET.

My Diet is Better Than Yours on ABC at 9:00pm ET. I am… bewildered by who this show is supposed to be for or why anyone would watch it. I’m aware that Americans are by and large suckers for the kind of snake-oil style diet and fitness programs that programs like this tend to promote, but the smugness in the title alone seems extremely off-putting. But if I’ve learned anything in my years of looking at what’s on television every night it’s that I’m pretty far from being the “target audience” for… basically everything.

Colony on USA at 10:00pm ET. Series premiere. A new show about Los Angeles being walled off and kept away from the rest of the world. Apparently it’s a dystopian drama, not a comedy. Weird, right?

Workaholics on Comedy Central at 10:00pm ET. Sixth season premiere.

Idiotsitter on Comedy Central at 10:30pm ET. Series premiere. This is one of those shows I support in theory but will never watch; I fully support women doing the same kind of low-brow, highly physical comedy that has traditionally been made by and for men. But it didn’t appeal to me when guys did it and it doesn’t appeal to me now. I’ve never been able to watch more than five minutes of Workaholics. But godspeed, Jillian Bell, I wish you and this project all the best.
