Fictional Dysfunctional DC is Less Fun When Real DC is Even More Extravagantly Dysfunctional

Grey’s Anatomy on ABC at 8:00pm ET. Lately, I’ve been watching early seasons of Grey’s Anatomy while folding laundry or just generally wasting time and man, none of these people should be dating. But they especially should not be dating each other. You know what’s worse than a narcissistic asshole who refuses to get therapy? Two of them trying to be in a relationship. I mean, they’re all beautiful, but, like, do you want the guy who couldn’t be bothered to get divorced before he started dating and then got pouty when his next relationship wasn’t fun-sexy-exciting times 24/7 because of his girlfriend’s depression? Or the woman who has to be the object of every dude’s affection and deliberately ruins marriages to keep it that way? All this and more, at Seattle Grace!

RuPaul’s Drag Race on VH1 at 8:00pm ET.

A.P Bio on NBC at 8:31pm ET.

Atlanta on FX at 10:00pm ET.

Scandal on ABC at 10:00pm ET. The title of this is “Standing in the Sun” and I haven’t been keeping up with the last season of Scandal, but if they cheat a happy ending out of THIS batch of people, I feel like that’s being real dishonest with the characters.
