Graphic Crimes Against Hair, Viewer Discretion Advised
Face Off on SyFy at 9:00pm ET. Ninth season finale.
iZombie on The CW at 9:00pm ET.
Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD on ABC at 9:00pm ET. If you guys think I’m plugging in the extra punctuation in that title ever again, you are obviously not aware of my very busy schedule of developing strong feelings about actors in commercials and absent-mindedly opening the same website in three different tabs.
Limitless on CBS at 10:00pm ET. I’ve seen enough commercials for this to tell that it’s a basic cop/non-cop pairing featuring Deb Morgan of Dexter as the cop and Blonde Hunk #575 from the “Snarky Male Lead” bin as the non-cop who takes the genius pill and solves the crimes. First of all 1. I’m noticing that this genre the cop is almost always a lady and the non-cop “actually solves the crimes!” companion is usually a dude which I am throwing a serious eyebrow at and 2. Why can’t Deb just take the genius pill herself? Like, I know the movie was about Bradley Cooper, but is there a stated reason why otherwise unremarkable dudes are the only ones who can take the pills? Wouldn’t it cut out a lot of extra work if you could just give it to the cops themselves and make them super-smart crime solvers WITH all their existing experience and knowledge? I don’t actually expect there to be satisfying answers to those questions, which is why I won’t bother watching the show.
Wicked City on ABC at 10:00pm ET. Series premiere. ABC’s new series about a couple who terrorizes Los Angeles with serial killings in the 80s. Features: Erika Christensen, Ed Westwick, Jeremy Sisto, and some truly terrible era-appropriate hair.
