Harry Potter: The Making of Diagon Alley on NBC at 8:00pm ET. Special presentation. A fun little puff piece on the new Diagon Alley section of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter down in Orlando. Honestly, you might as well call it a one hour long commercial starring Meredith Viera. If you’ve got Harry Potter obsessed children of an impressionable age, I’d recommend you find a way to keep them away from the TV for this hour.
112 Weddings on HBO at 9:00pm ET. This is a documentary by a former wedding videographer who went back and spoke to ten couples whose weddings he’d filmed years later to see how their marriages were doing. In the words of filmmaker Doug Block he “loved the idea of starting a movie where most Hollywood movies end, which is the bride coming down the aisle.” It should be an interesting and difficult examination of how people’s relationships grow and change within marriage.
24: Live Another Day on Fox at 9:00pm ET.
Swamp People on History at 9:00pm ET. Fifth season finale. Join me in wishing this was a documentary about Swamp Thing and his family striving for public acceptance not as Swamp Things but as Swamp People instead of just another obviously staged reality series.
Under the Dome on CBS at 10:00pm ET. Second season finale.
