Every Crime Procedural Needs a Quirky Woman With a Computer. Apparently.

The President and the People: A National Conversation on ABC at 8:00pm ET.

Bones on Fox at 8:00pm ET. I saw a really old episode of this the other day, back when Angela and Hodgins were getting together for the first time and I remember how I have always been infuriated with their inability to write Angela like a human being and not a walking plot machine. “I’m rejecting your proposal! Because I want you to do it differently! But I can’t tell you HOW I want you to do it! It just has to happen! And then we have to arrange a huge wedding in a week or I might change my mind. Not because I WANT to, you know, I’m just such a free spirit my emotions are unknowable even to me.” But I guess that’s par for the course for a classically trained artist who just happened to be a genius about computer hardware AND software on the side because it turns out “facial reconstruction” is a pretty narrow skill set for a crime procedural.

30 for 30 on ESPN at 9:00pm ET. Tonight’s episode is “Doc & Darryl” about Doc Gooden and Darryl Strawberry so all you Mets fans out there can relive some very painful years.

Big Brother on CBS at 9:00pm ET. This show has been on forever and I still don’t actually understand how it works. And I don’t intend to find out.

Queen of the South on USA at 10:00pm ET.
