"Do You Like Downton Abbey? Well This is the Exact Opposite of That!"
Fashion Police on E! at 8:00pm ET. One-hour special presentation. I don’t watch this show because, by and large, I just find it mean-spirited and that’s not what I consider enjoyable TV, but do they alter their criticisms for the event? Like, the Met Gala is about FASHION as a sort of art form rather than fashion as in “looking good” and the outfits should be judged that way. “Is it flattering” is not the question so much as “Is it engaging and interesting”, but I’m not sure if the talking heads on E! focus on that. Frankly, you don’t need to spend designer prices for “flattering” anyway; you just need good materials, solid construction, and a session with a tailor.
The Victorian Slum House on PBS at 8:00pm ET. Series premiere. This is a reality series where people voluntarily choose to live in a 19th century tenement and attempt to make a living by making matchboxes and other such tasks. So a bit like The Supersizers Go but serialized to one particular period, and I’m guessing none of the participants are as delightfully witty as Sue Perkins. Most of us aren’t.
The Mick on Fox at 8:31pm ET. First season finale.
The Americans on FX at 10:00pm ET.
Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD on ABC at 10:00pm ET.
