Bronn Doesn't Strike Me As the Detecting Type, But Alright
The Briefcase on CBS at 8:00pm ET. Series premiere. This is a show where two couples who are struggling with money issues are given briefcases with $100,000 inside. They are told that they can either keep all the money, keep some of it, or give it away to a family they don’t know who is also struggling. The other family is, of course, told the same thing. Neither family knows that the other one has also been given a briefcase full of cash. Friends, please do not watch this show. It seems designed to wring voyeuristic entertainment out of watching people wrestle with their deepest values for a sum of money that would be helpful but probably not truly life changing after taxes. Everything about it is gross.
Masterchef on Fox at 8:00pm ET.
Bullseye on Fox at 9:01pm ET. Series premiere. This is a new competitive reality series where “weekend warriors” will participate in physical challenges that involve using their bodies as human darts to hit various targets on land, sea, and air. I promise you that I have not started my usual summer fake show game. This is absolutely, 100% real and is hosted by a guy from Twilight. No, not him the other one. The OTHER other one.
Ripper Street on BBCA at 10:00pm ET. Apparently this is what Jerome Flynn does in his downtime from Game of Thrones. I guess it must be relaxing to not have to share the screen with bare tits for a few months.
Big Time in Hollywood, FL on Comedy Central at 10:30pm ET. First season finale.
Genevieve Burgess is eyeing June for starting the summer TV game, but she has no hope of competing with what is actually being put on the air this year.
