I Love the 2000’s: 2000 on VH1 at 8:00pm ET. They’re calling this a special presentation, but I suspect that if it goes over well we’ll see a full run of I Love the 2000’s given how successful the I Love the 90’s and I Love the 80’s and their respective retreads were. However, since Buzzfeed has basically been running a truncated version of I Love the 2000’s to help millenials convince themselves that they’re still fun, quirky kids instead of full-grown adults fighting a stagnant economy for a while now, I’d say VH1 has some healthy competition. Two episodes are airing tonight, so if you’ve been missing the fever-dream fashions of the early 2000’s, you can relieve it in all its technicolor glory for two full hours.

Rizzoli and Isles on TNT at 9:00pm ET. Fifth season premiere.

Royal Pains on USA at 9:00pm ET.

Fargo on FX at 10:00pm ET. First season finale.

Perception on TNT at 10:00pm ET. Third season premiere. I’m always fascinated by the shows that manage to become summer staples when their ratings would have gotten them shit-canned long ago in the regular season. It makes me wonder if some smaller, much beloved series that were cancelled before their time might have fared better in TV’s increasingly obsolete “off season.”

Genevieve Burgess is a millenial and misses Oreo O’s to a somewhat embarrassing degree. She is glad to forget the crushed velvet leopard print pants, though.
