Parks and Recreation on NBC at 8:00pm ET.
State of the Union Address on all major networks and several cable stations at 9:00pm ET. With Obama’s recent proposals regarding free community college and raising taxes on wealthy Americans back to Reagan era levels (that’s not a typo), this could be an interesting time. But probably not. Important! But not necessarily entertaining to watch.
Friday Night Tykes on Esquire at 9:00pm ET. Second season premiere. I guess there are people who are actually interested in watching more pee wee football on their TV? I mean, I get watching pee wee football if you have, for some reason, enrolled your small child in a sport with a high risk of traumatic brain injury. But on television as entertainment just seems a bit silly. Have you ever watched little kids play sports? They’re terrible at them. I played various sports from age 5 onwards, and my amazing athletic career began with me picking flowers in the outfield at tee-ball games and making necklaces with them. Thank god no one tried to make a reality show out of that.
Supernatural on The CW at 9:00pm ET. 10th season winter premiere.
Justified on FX at 10:00pm ET. Sixth season premiere. This is the final season of Justified, so I guess we’ll finally discover if anyone will ever get out of Harlan alive. (Signs point to: No.)
Genevieve Burgess still makes a good daisy chain and still sucks at tee ball.
