The Roosevelts: An Intimate History on PBS at 8:00pm ET. I understand that this is a very deep and serious exploration of this family and their history, but I read this “Dirtbag Teddy Roosevelt” piece a couple days ago and now this is the only version of Teddy Roosevelt that I want to think about. Although the version that goes and runs around at Nationals games is pretty great too.

Thursday Night Football: Buccaneers at Falcons on CBS at 8:25pm ET.

Rush on USA at 9:00pm ET. First season finale. Seriously, guys, I am baffled by the weird uptick in shows about doctors with addiction problems. It’s like the only real problem I have with The Knick. There’s a part of me that wants to chalk it up to some weird undercurrent of anti-intellectualism (“See, all the really smart people are either socially maladjusted or on drugs because you can’t be smart and normal.”) or just lazy writers looking for an easy way to create dramatic tension. Probably mostly the second. With a small dash of the first.

The Honorable Woman on Sundance at 10:00pm ET. Original mini-series finale.

You’re the Worst on FX at 10:30pm ET. First season finale. I hear I should watch this?

Genevieve Burgess thinks that the Presidents Races are the best thing to come out of bringing professional baseball back to DC.
