My Mother and Other Strangers on PBS at 8:00pm ET. Series premiere. This new drama is set in Ireland during World War Two and focuses on the effect on a small community after a US Army Air Force Base opens in the middle of their rural parish.

American Gods on Starz at 9:00pm ET. First season finale. It’s been an interesting journey so far this season and I’m glad they didn’t try to cram the whole book into ten episodes. I’m excited to see how they pace out the rest of the story.

Fear the Walking Dead on AMC at 9:00pm ET.

Grantchester on PBS at 9:00pm ET. 90 minute third season premiere.

Last Week Tonight with John Oliver on HBO at 11:00pm ET. For once, the ridiculous state of American politics might not be the headline story given the awful tragedy of the Grenfell tower. Which is not good news in any way. Everything is terrible, everywhere.
