All In Favor of Considering This An 'X-Files' Alternate Dimension Arc?

500 Questions on ABC at 8:00pm ET. Two hour first season finale. Since I’ve heard from all of you that the host on this is awful and that the show is terribly paced, I guess it’s good that they’re ending after only a week. However, the chances that ABC has anything better to replace it are pretty low.

Aquarius on NBC at 9:00pm ET. Two hour series premiere. This is the new series starring David Duchovny that isn’t the X-Files reboot. The series is set in 1967 Los Angeles, and Duchovny is a detective investigating Charles Manson. He plays the old throwback guy working to adjust to the new, flower-power 60s. Manson himself will be played by Gethin Anthony, who is probably best known for playing Renly on Game of Thrones.

Wayward Pines on Fox at 9:00pm ET.

Smile on Lifetime at 10:00pm ET. Series premiere. This is a new makeover series that’s focused entirely on giving six people with terrible dental problems a complete smile makeover. And while I tend to hate makeover shows on principle, I like the idea of this one because giving someone a good smile can go a long way towards improving their professional and social life without passing judgement on anything else about their appearance. I’m sure Lifetime will find some way to cheese it up, but for now it sounds like a great thing.

Louie on FX at 10:30pm ET. Fifth season finale.

Genevieve Burgess feels like anything the X-Files folks are in that isn’t X-Files is just a let-down now.
