Ah, A Traditional and Respectful Easter Celebration
Ice Age: The Great Egg-Scapade on Fox at 7:30pm ET. Special presentation. I’m assuming this is only interesting to those of you who may be responsible for small children, but who knows. Any adult Ice Age enthusiasts out there willing to identify themselves for the room? Anyway, it’s clearly the perfect lead-in for…
The Passion on Fox at 8:00pm ET. Original telefilm. Yes, nothing better than following up the antics of prehistoric animals with the gruesome tale of how Jesus was crucified. But! It just keeps getting better! First of all, it’s a musical. Second of all, it’s a live musical taking place in and around New Orleans, including a “procession of hundreds of people carrying a 20-foot, illuminated cross from outside the Superdome to the live state at Woldenberg Park on the banks of the Mississippi river.” Third of all, it features Tyler Perry as host and narrator, Trisha Yearwood as Mary, Chris Daughtry as Judas, Prince Royce (he’s big in Latin music, just trust me) as Peter, and Seal as Pontius Pilate. Jesus will be played by Jencarlos Canela, also big in Latin music, but not as big as Prince Royce as far as I’m aware. Anyway, it sounds like it will be a glorious mess and I’m almost curious enough to actually watch it. Almost.
Shameless on Showtime at 9:00pm ET.
The Walking Dead on AMC at 9:00pm ET.
Elementary on CBS at 10:00pm ET. New time slot. That’s always a good sign, right? When a show suddenly shifts time slots for no obvious reasons?
