A Love Story For the Ages. Or At Least Until the Booze Wears Off.

The Big Bang Theory on CBS at 8:00pm ET. Eighth season winter premiere.

Archer on FX at 10:00pm ET. Sixth season premiere. ARCHER IS BACK! WOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! RAMMMMMMPPPPAAAAAGGGGGEEEEEEE! And so forth. And I just found out that The Venture Brothers is also coming back this month so I get ALL my horribly inappropriate cartoons on at the same time. CHRISTMAS CAME EITHER SOMEWHAT LATE OR EXTREMELY EARLY THIS YEAR!

Babylon on Sundance at 10:00pm ET. Series premiere. A new comedy/drama about the London police force starring Brit Marling. Danny Boyle is involved. I’m cautiously optimistic, although early reviews have been somewhat mixed. But I like most things of Danny Boyle’s that I’ve seen, and I’ve been waiting for Brit Marling to do something other than “quietly conflicted” for a while.

Portlandia on IFC at 10:00pm ET. Fifth season premiere.

Elementary on CBS at 10:01pm ET. Third season winter premiere. I’ve seen some commercials that seem to hint at a “new relationship” for Watson and Sherlock, so y’all have my sympathies if they totally screw that up.

Genevieve Burgess prefers all versions of Sherlock to be comfortably asexual. Yes, even the Cumberbatch one.
