“Alcatraz” on Fox at 8:00pm ET. Two hour first season finale. This hasn’t been cancelled, so I presume someone’s watching it. Allegedly, the real Alcatraz prison has had to post signs stating that the show depicts areas of the prison that are fictional to keep people from trying to wander off and find the places seen on TV but I wouldn’t be at all surprised if the prison was paid off by Fox to put the signs there as a way to increase interest in the series.

“The Secret Life of the American Teenager” on ABC Family at 8:00pm ET. I swear I saw a promo for this where one of the dumb kids proposed to another dumb kid, they announced it to their families and then IN THE VERY SAME PROMO you saw the girl having second thoughts and starting a big fight with the boy. Like, really, leave something to the imagination. Also, that’s now two teen-directed dramas featuring subplots where high schoolers threaten marriage. I’m not liking this trend.

“RuPaul’s Drag Race” on Logo at 9:00pm ET.

“My 600lb Life: Where Are They Now?” on TLC at 10:00pm ET. I’m sure this will be handled with grace and sensitivity that will humanize the subjects in the tradition of all TLC shows based around individuals with unusual or abnormal medical conditions.

“Smash” on NBC at 10:00pm ET.
