“136th Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show” on USA at 8:00pm ET. The Westminster Kennel Club has come in for some unfortunate press recently when they terminated their sponsorship deal with Purina over Purina’s insistence on showing commercials featuring down and out mutts and encouraging people to adopt said mutts. The WKC said that these commercials and their message go against their ‘pure breed mission’ and are depressing. Since I know a lot more people who own mutts than who own pure breeds, I’m not sure their PR people really thought this statement through.
“How I Met Your Mother” on CBS at 8:00pm ET.
“Hoarders” on A&E at 9:00pm ET.
“RuPaul’s Drag Race” on Logo at 9:00pm ET.
“Fashion Police: The 2012 Grammy Awards” on E at 10:00pm ET. I don’t really consider this fair. I’m not talking about the mega stars who can afford their own stylists but rather the smaller artists, song writers, or backing musicians who end up invited as well and are forced to fend for themselves. Also the European pop stars, someone needs to send around a memo that the Grammys ≠ Eurovision because they just end up as sitting ducks for cruel snark.
