“The Simpsons” on Fox at 8:00pm ET. Joan Rivers is guest starring, because that’s obviously going to be a huge draw.

“Sunday Night Football: Detroit Lions at New Orleans Saints” on NBC at 8:15pm ET.

“Dexter” on Showtime at 9:00pm ET.

“Neverland” on SyFy at 9:00pm ET. Part one of two in an original miniseries. This is a prequel to the events of Peter Pan. Because that’s what the world was clamoring for. I’m also curious about the intellectual rights here, because there’s a series of books written in the last few years about the origins of Peter Pan, starting with Peter and the Starcatchers which was actually kind of charming and interesting, and which is owned by Disney. Since the original story has passed into public domain, there’s no restrictions on adaptations of the material, but the concept is similar enough that I’m surprised Disney didn’t sue because that’s just how they roll. Anyway, this includes the vocal talents of Keira Knightley as Tinkerbell and also stars Rhys Ifans and Anna Friel.

“Hell on Wheels” on AMC at 10:00pm ET. Let’s see how this does without a “Walking Dead” lead in!
