The Latest 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' Trailer Is Heavy on the Ultron

The latest trailer for Avengers: Age of Ultron has arrived, and James Spader’s villainous character is heavily featured. I’m still not sure what his motivation is, other than the usual world domination, but he’s certainly intimidating. It also appears that he’ll be attempting to take down the Avengers from the inside, and based on the trailer, it appears to work, at times.

There’s a lot going on here, in particular the clear-cut early alliance between Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch (which is apparently short-lived given that Elizabeth Olsen can be seen on their side in the battle against 1000 Ultron robots) and Ultron. The Hulk vs. Hulkbuster fight looks amazing, even if the whole “smashing upside a building” thing was kind of done in the first Avengers. Actually, there’s a few things borrowed from the first film — an urban battle against an army of identical enemies, one of them battling the Hulk, and so on.

But there’s also the more insidious motives of Ultron, turning Stark’s vision against him, what appears to be a budding romance between Banner and Natasha Romanov, and maybe most critically, the whole thing happening without the support of SHIELD, which is in a post-Winter Soldier shambles (hence them operating out of a cabin in the woods?).

BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY: VISION. Come for the Avengers, stay for Vision, you guys.

OK, I’ll stop hyperventilating now.
