***Spoiler warning for, uh…everything? Seriously though, this is EFFFING COOL. I can’t say whether you, personally, will think it’s worth it to be spoiled for Avengers: Age of Ultron or Ant-Man; but for me it’s a minor spoiler I can happily deal with. Proceed at your own risk.
No, it’s nothing to do with Cap ass; I just wanted to throw in a little interlude before getting to the spoiler stuff. In a recent interview with Cinemablend, Marvel studios president, Kevin Feige accidentally on purpose spoiled the rest of the MCU Phase Two films by revealing that a certain Star Wars-related act is in each of the associated movies:
“So is this a spoiler for Ant-Man… not really. I’m obsessed with Star Wars. Who’s not? I’m 40 years old. I’m in the movie business. I went to USC. So I’m obsessed with Star Wars - and it didn’t start out as intentional, but it became intentional, including that beat that you referenced. It sort of happens in every Star Wars movie, but I was sort of looking at it, ‘Okay, is Phase Two our Empire Strikes Back?’ Not really, but tonally things are a little different. Somebody gets their arm cut off in every Phase Two movie. Every single one.”
And, here’s the proof (so far):
There you have it; even more to look forward to on May 1st.
