The Pajiba Election Night Livetalkaganza
By Brian Byrd | Live Talk | November 8, 2016 | Comments ()
Welcome to Pajiba’s fireside election night livechat. By “livechat,” I mean we’ll move Disqus higher on the page so you can talk through your election night anxieties with like-minded bedwetters rather than resorting to pharmaceuticals. And by “fireside,” I obviously mean warming ourselves beside the flames of our country’s burning carcass while Trump ascends to the presidency. Shit, maybe we do need the synthetic stuff.
We’ll update both the post and the comment section and news breaks over the next five or so hours. Grab some food, alcohol, loved ones and pets, and settle in for a long, hopefully rewarding evening.
Here’s what we know as of 6 pm Eastern: exit polls are looking pretty, pretty good for one Hillary LaDarius Clinton. Data shows the 2016 electorate closely resembles its 2012 predecessor, which bodes well for the Democratic nominee. Be careful about reading too much into early exits, though, said not-former-president John Kerry. Best bet is to ignore the early stuff until polls begin to close at 7 Eastern.
Also, this is spectacular:

HRC up 240K or 30 points in Dade. With 300K votes yet to count. At this, she wins Dade by 300-350K. Not sure where Trump makes that up
