Jon Stewart Takes Over Colbert's 'The Late Show' Desk, Rips Trump and Fox News to Pieces

Most of you probably didn’t stay up to watch The Late Show last night after Donald Trump’s convention rant ran long, or as Jon Stewart referred to it: An angry groundhog who came out and vomited all over everyone. What Stephen Colbert did to cap off convention week, however, was to let an angry Jon Stewart take over his desk and put in a full 10-minute The Daily Show-style rant against Sean Hannity, Fox News, Donald Trump, and Donald Trump supporters.

It had everything. It displayed Fox News’s hypocrisy where it concerns Donald Trump, it had an Arby’s insult, a callback to Donald Trump eating pizza with a fork, a Lin Manuel reference, and a full-throated Jon Stewart rant about how Trump supporters don’t own the “real America,” because there is no real America.”

You’re going to need a cigarette after this.

My God, that felt amazing. After four days of GOP bloviating and a terrifying, relentlessly hostile Donald Trump speech, Jon Stewart is the catharsis we all needed.
