I wonder what kind of emails we’d see if Sony and Amy Pascal were running Game of Thrones? I suspect Pascal would do a lot of teeth gnashing about the fact that the HBO series wills soon pass Martin’s book series, and every time Martin was seen engaging in extracurriculars, Pascal would rail on him like the rest of us: “What the fuck is he doing? Is he even writing? Why is he spending Sundays watching the Jets? God, what a worthless team and a waste of time. Will somebody stick a hot poker up his ass already?”
Then Pascal would see that Martin was posting #12DaysofWesteros memes, and briefly get her hopes up. “IS HE RELEASING THE BOOK IN 12 DAYS? Why didn’t I know about this? Get his publisher on the phone. This is amazing news … oh what’s that?”
#12DaysofWesteros is NOT a countdown to the release of WoW, we're sorry for those of you who were misled, just spreading Christmas Cheer :)

“Christmas cheer?! Sh*t! Can we get Sorkin in here to finish these novels for Martin? This is ridiculous.”
