It’s fun looking for clues to our favorite series, but sometimes we really do read too much into things, don’t we?
Yesterday, Game of Thrones’ sixth season finale director Miguel Sapochnik (“Hardhome, The Gift”) tweeted out a clapperboard photo that piqued fans’ and news outlets’ interest, aka sent the interwebs into a tizzy:
“Game of Thrones season 6 director posts major spoiler for finale episode”
“Is This Proof The ‘Game Of Thrones’ White Walker Army Will Be Back Next Season?”
“Game Of Thrones season 6 director hints at White Walker action for the finale”
Here’s a look at the photo from which everyone deduced the finale would bring back the White Walkers:
Since GoT filming units have included Dragon, Wolf and Raven crews — not necessarily filming those specific creatures — it seemed more of a desire for the zombie army return than an actual clue, and today, Sapochnik quickly put an end to that speculation:
Sorry folks. Whitewalker refers to the different crews on the show. Dragon unit, Wolf unit and new addition White Walker unit.

And now, back to your regularly scheduled theorizing!
