Amulet: Coming to theaters and On Demand July 24.

Written and directed by Romola Garai, this eerie horror story follows a former soldier (Alec Secareanu) on a truly odd job. Invited into the rundown home of a sickly mother and her shy daughter, he soon realizes something wicked lies in wait. Carla Juri, Angeliki Papoulia, and Imelda Staunton co-star.

Marley: Coming to virtual cinemas and theaters on July 31.

To celebrate what would have been Bob Marley’s 75th year, this 2012 doc about his life, music, and legacy is getting a re-release with unheard tracks, unseen footage, and intimate interviews to paint a definitive portrait of the legendary reggae icon.

The Shadow of Violence: Coming to theaters July 31.

Formerly known as Calm With Horses, this original drama explores the gritty criminal underground of rural Ireland. There, a former boxer agrees to be muscle for a drug kingpin. However, when he’s asked to kill, he questions his allegiances. Anthony Welsh, Ned Dennehy, Barry Keoghan, and Cosmo Jarvis star.

She Dies Tomorrow: Coming to drive-ins on July 31, On Demand August 7.

Written and directed by Amy Seimetz, this surreal horror offering centers on Amy (Kate Lyn Sheil), a woman who is convinced she is dying tomorrow. While her friends initially think she’s paranoid, they soon discover her certainty of doom is contagious. Jane Adams, Chris Messina, Katie Aselton, Tunde Adebimpe, Jennifer Kim, and Michelle Rodriguez co-star.

I Used To Go Here: Coming to theaters and On Demand on August 7.

Gillian Jacobs stars in this late-bloomer dramedy about a struggling novelist who returns to her alma mater for accolades and comfort. However, her run-ins with a crush-worthy professor, some kind-hearted frat bros, and an up-and-coming writer don’t provide the ego boost she’d imagined. Jemaine Clement, Hannah Marks, Kate Micucci, Jorma Taccone, Josh Wiggins, and Forrest Goodluck co-star.

Random Acts of Violence: Coming to Shudder on August 20.

Directed, co-written, and co-starring Jay Baruchel, this slasher film follows a comic book creator (Jesse Williams) whose darkest design seems to come to life as bodies pile up. Jordana Brewster co-stars.

Hard Kill: Coming to theaters, On Demand, and digital on August 28.

Bruce Willis headlines this action-movie co-written by MCU writer/director Joe Russo. The ’80s action icon plays a billionaire tech CEO whose daughter is kidnapped by terrorists who demand his super-secret tech as ransom. So he hires mercenaries to get her back. Jesse Metcalfe, Natalie Eva Marie, and Tyler Jon Olson co-star.

Unfit: The Psychology of Donald Trump: Coming to digital/streaming on September 1.

This documentary examines the behavior, psyche, condition, and stability of Donald Trump to determine if he is psychologically fit for the presidency. It also boasts “the shocking, first, on-camera interview with
George Conway that will roil the West Wing of the White House.”

Feels Good Man: Coming September 4.

Do you know the story of Pepe the Frog? You might know him as a meme employed by trolls and white supremacists. Before being hijacked by racists, this cartoon amphibian began as a happy-go-lucky comic character. This doc explores his origins, and his creator’s efforts to reclaim Pepe.

Possessor: Coming soon.

Written and directed by Brandon Cronenberg, this Sundance selection follows an agent who works for a secretive organization that uses brain-implant technology to inhabit other people’s bodies, ultimately driving them to commit assassinations for high-paying clients. Andrea Riseborough, Jennifer Jason Leigh, and Sean Bean star.

Words on Bathroom Walls: Coming soon to theaters.

Based on Julia Walton’s novel, this romance centers on Adam (Charlie Plummer), a teen boy who struggles with paranoid schizophrenia. In a new school, he’s determined to hide his condition for fear of ostracization. But his blossoming relationship with the frank and sharp Maya (Taylor Russell) urges him to embrace all of who he is. Andy Garcia, AnnaSophia Robb, Beth Grant, Devon Bostick, Lobo Sebastian, Molly Parker, and Walton Goggins co-star.
