It’s been 14 years since The Incredibles first introduced us to the best super-powered family this side of the Fantastic Four, but you’d hardly be able to tell from this “sneak peek” trailer for the upcoming sequel. Baby Jack-Jack is still a baby, everyone can still squeeze into their spandex, and the world still needs heroes. But just because we’ve felt the passage of time more than the Parr family has, that doesn’t mean they’ve been frozen in amber all these years. In fact, this time around Mr. Incredible is facing a very domestic challenge: being the primary caretaker at home while his wife, Elastigirl, is off leading a new superhero campaign.

I know, I know — it’s not as though the concept of being Mr. Mom is super new. But when the baby can Hulk out and shoot lasers from its eyes when it doesn’t get a cookie? Yeah, I think anyone would rather face down a super villain than THAT. Take a look!

And here’s the official synopsis:

In “Incredibles 2,” Helen (voice of Holly Hunter) is called on to lead a campaign to bring Supers back, while Bob (voice of Craig T. Nelson) navigates the day-to-day heroics of “normal” life at home with Violet (voice of Sarah Vowell), Dash (voice of Huck Milner) and baby Jack-Jack — whose superpowers are about to be discovered. Their mission is derailed, however, when a new villain emerges with a brilliant and dangerous plot that threatens everything. But the Parrs don’t shy away from a challenge, especially with Frozone (voice of Samuel L. Jackson) by their side. That’s what makes this family so Incredible.

Incredibles 2 returns June 15th.
