I’m just going to get ahead of this by stating upfront that I will absolutely watch Red One when it’s available on streaming. Which, the way things are going, will probably be two weeks after it hits theaters (if not sooner.) It is the stupid sort of action movie that my short-attention-span kid will be able to watch all in one sitting. Plus J. K. Simmons as buff Santa. That said, dear Lord J. K. Simmons, Lucy Liu and Chris Evans need to make better choices. Come on folks, we’ve seen what you’re capable of and this ain’t it.

No notes for The Rock. We know what to expect from you and this is pretty much it.

Movies with Red in the title may just all be cursed to mediocrity. Red Notice, Red Sparrow, the Red movies. Maybe Hollywood should pick a new color.

Red One opens in theaters on November 15.

Speaking of Chris Evans’ “better choices” the trailer for The Inheritance feels awfully derivative of Knives Out with a supernatural twist.

The Inheritance is a Whose Who of Who Is That? It’s directed by Alejandro Brugués (Satanic Hispanics) and stars Bob Gunton (The Shawshank Redemption), Peyton List (School Spirit), Rachel Nichols (The Man In The High Castle) Austin Stowell, and Briana Middleton.

The Inheritance will be released on July 12th.

The Algorithm has been pushing the trailer for The Beast Within at me pretty hard for the past week. Remember when Kit Harrington was Jon Snow who knew nothing? I miss those days. I bet he misses them too.

Besides Harington, The Beast Within stars Ashleigh Cummings (NOS4A2), James Cosmo (Braveheart), Caoilinn Springall (The Midnight Sky), and Adam Basil (The Beekeeper).

The Beast Within will be released on July 26th.

Do you like bears? Do you like fat bears? Do you like fat bears from Katmai National Park? Yes you do. Of course you do! Everyone loves Fat Bear Week and Peacock is looking to make big bucks off of that fact with The Hungry Games: Alaska’s Big Bear Challenge. It’s a shameless exploitation of a social media phenomenon and it will either fail or become the next Shark Week. I know I’ll be watching! #teamgrazer
