Below is the trailer for Neon’s Cuckoo, starring Hunter Schafer and Dan Stevens. Before you watch the trailer, however, I would like to single out one frame at the 1:41 mark that flashes for a millisecond. It’s probably going to haunt my dreams for a few weeks.
What the f**k is this? WTF? You want a pull quote, Neon. Here’s your pull quote: WHAT THE F**K!
The logline for the film from German director Tilman Singer is this: “A 17-year-old girl is forced to move with her family to a resort where things are not what they seem.” That’s a goddamn understatement. Enjoy!
Cuckoo arrives in theaters on August 8th. This should add to Neon’s excellent run of films lately, including Anatomy of a Fall, Eileen, Self Reliance, Immaculate, and La chimera.
