Pop quiz, hot shot! 50 MPH is a podcast dedicated to which nineties action flick? The answer is, of course, Speed. Duh. The pod, hosted by superfan Kris Tapley, is set to explode expire on June 10, the 30th anniversary of the movie’s release. Yep, it’s been three decades since Speed.

This week, co-stars and longtime pals Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves appeared on 50 MPH and discussed the possibility of a third Speed film. Keanu says he thinks he and Sandra would “freakin’ knock it out of the park.” Sandra agrees, citing their natural onscreen chemistry: “There’s no formula. It just is.” She adds:

“Before I die, before I leave this planet, I do think that Keanu and I need to do something in front of the camera. Are we, you know, in wheelchairs or with walkers? Maybe. Are we on little scooters at Disneyland?”

Ooooh, don’t get too cocky, Sandy B. We mustn’t forget about the abysmal Speed 2: Cruise Control (1997). Luckily, Keanu managed to escape that bomb. As for out-of-control vehicles, my vote is an E-bike. Those things are nuts. Simon Cowell broke his back on one!

Here’s Sandra and Keanu being cute while promoting Speed:

The two would later reunite for The Lake House (2007), which some people call a “spiritual sequel” to Speed. Those people are wrong.
