Kevin Hart’s latest public statements meant he was trending hard on Twitter last night. The comedian became the butt of many jokes, a meme, and ultimately got mic dropped by Jamie Lee Curtis.
When Hart refused to apologize, Twitter had jokes.

How was Kevin Hart supposed to know that gay people are human beings who deserve respect in the year 2010?! LGBTQ equality was a foreign concept that hadn’t even been spoken of yet! I was still sharing a jail cell with Oscar Wilde back then!

Be the bigger man. The man your Special Effects dude made you look like in your wedding pics. Be that guy. Stick to your Generic No-Name brand of “humor”. Leave the edgy stuff to the pros. pic.twitter.com/P0md096njU

Is Kevin Hart hoping we'll read this and say, "He can't be a homophobe, he's in love with a man!!!!"? https://t.co/YDHj9NOkMY

I'm sure Kevin Hart feels the exact same way. https://t.co/iTE9flmPIg

genuinely insane that the golden globes snubbing PADDINGTON 2 somehow *wasn’t* the biggest awards-related shitshow of the day

But we’re gonna leave this with a queen, the ultimate scream queen. Here’s Halloween’s Jamie Lee Curtis on Hart’s statement.
Homophobia is not positivity.

Told you.
