One of the weirder jokes hidden within the amazing Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse is nestled in its credits. It’s a song called “Spidey-Bells (A Hero’s Lament)” that plays over the backend of credits. Sung by Chris Pine, the track begins jaunty and jolly as you might expect from a celebrity Christmas album. But after the title is teased in the soundtrack listing, things turn comically maudlin with Peter Parker lamenting the world’s narrow view of his talents.

Check it out.

Agony! Some fans were bummed when “Spidey Bells” was nowhere to be found on the film’s soundtrack. But good news! It will be released officially today as part of A Very Spidey Christmas, a special yuletide-themed Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse EP!

Here’s the track list, courtesy of Film Music Reporter:

1. Joy to the World - Shameik Moore (1:40)
2. Spidey-Bells (A Hero’s Lament) - Chris Pine (2:41)
3. Deck the Halls - Jake Johnson (2:05)
4. Up on the House Top - Chris Pine (1:45)
5. The Night Before Christmas 1967 (Spoken Word) - Jorma Taccone (2:45)

This silly seasonal EP offers three Spider-Men (Moore, Pine, Johnson), plus the movie’s Green Goblin, The Lonely Island’s Jorma Taccone. And you can enjoy one more track from it right now! Behold Peter B. Parker’s “Deck The Halls.”

The battle of Best Chris rages on with points to Pine this round. But who’s the Best Spider-Man?

A Very Spidey Christmas is out now.
