Here’s the trailer for Borat: Subsequent Moviefilm, the sequel to Borat, and yes, some of it was shot during the pandemic, and no, there are no masks, and there is no social distancing. Also, maybe Borat heckles Mike Pence during an event, or it’s at least cut in such a way to suggest as much.
Otherwise, it’s just Borat being Borat, and by that, I mean: He takes his “daughter” to a pastor/doctor and asked him to perform an abortion because he “put a baby in her. Did you ever put one in your daughter?”
It comes out on Amazon Prime Video on October 23rd, and I don’t know if I need that much discomfort in my life 10 days before the election, but also, maybe I do. There’s probably also a sequence in the film where he makes fun of Three Percenters, which will either be incredibly funny or horribly depressing. Or both. We’ll see in three weeks.
