We are a little less than two months from the premiere of Birds of Prey: And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn, with a date of February 2, 2020 to put into your calendars. In what is hopefully the beginning of a more aggressive advertising campaign, the official Twitter account for the flick released a new poster that pulls from Botticelli’s The Birth of Venus.

We’ve got Huntress (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) and Black Canary (Jurnee Smollett-Bell) floating into the scene with Ella Jay Basco’s Cassandra Cain (Orphan? Batgirl?) floating on a diamond while Rosie Perez’s Renee Montoya holds something pink(?). Chinese lanterns, a Ferris wheel, the hot dogs Harley enjoys in the trailer, Bud/Lou, and trademark hand grenades all surround our heroines.

And don’t forget the fancy groundhog!

How did Twitter react to this gorgeous poster? Many speculate that this is a build-up to another trailer. Several called out the badassery shown in the poster. Then there were these guys:

You’re telling me you watched this trailer:

And looked at the posters and all you have to say to that is “Cool but can we have a cut of a movie that flopped, please? I know that this is an all-female fronted superhero movie that’s out to prove they can make money as well as any group of dudes in tights, but maybe give us man babies a cut of Justice League that’s been teased by a shitty director named Zack Snyder ever since WB and DC moved away from his monochromatic, murderous bullsh*t, because WHY AM ATTENTION NOT BE ON ME”?

Furthermore, you can write whatever you want on a film canister label, you dipsh*ts. I know that this fancy film canister right here looks like one that came with a t-shirt inside from The Warner Bros. Store back in the 1990s, but it is really a super rare cut of Snyder’s superhero movies that took out all of the suck, making them a combined 20 minutes long. Proof? READ THE LABEL I WROTE.

Get bent. Birds of Prey looks amazing and I hope it thoroughly destroys any shred of a chance that Snyder might be allowed back into the DCEU ever again. Ladies? Time to f*ck sh*t up.
