Well lookee who got cast in a film all by himself without the help of his homeboy Leo D. and his Wolf Pack! Lukas Haas (Inception, The Revenant) has joined Steve McQueen’s (Hunger, 12 Years a Slave) upcoming film Widows, based on the 1983 ITV British miniseries. Who wants to bet Haas will play an untrustworthy weasel type character?

Written by McQueen and Gillian Flynn (Gone Girl, Sharp Objects), the film follows the widows of four armed robbers killed in a heist gone wrong, who finish the job that killed their husbands. Viola Davis (Prisoners, Fences), Elizabeth Debicki (The Great Gatsby, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2), Michelle Rodriguez (Girlfight, Fast and Furious) and Cynthia Erivo (Sister Act, The Color Purple) star as the widows, joined by Colin Farrell (In Bruges, The Lobster), Andre Holland (The Knick, Moonlight), Daniel Kaluuya (Sicario, Get Out), Liam Neeson (Schindler’s List, A Monster Calls) and Robert Duvall (To Kill a Mockingbird, MASH).

Lord, that is one seriously stacked cast; God have mercy on the poor fools who get in the way of that quartet of vengeful women. I have a feeling Davis is going to make How To Get Away with Murder’s Annalise Keating look like Mary Poppins. I’m dying to see the chemistry between Davis and Neeson, who plays her husband - I am sure their chemistry will be smoking. Widows is set to be released November 16th, 2018.
