As if the first reactions to Black Panther weren’t exciting enough, this morning Marvel decided to drop the trailer for Ant-Man And The Wasp! Take a look:

What makes the Ant-Man side of the MCU exciting is, obviously, the shape-changing — and the creative ways it can be utilized in the action. Turn a PEZ dispenser into a giant projectile? Film a car chase with a shrinking car? Have Evangeline Lilly’s Wasp run along the side of a fucking knife blade? Hells to the motherfuckin’ yes, I’ll take all of that, please. Hell, I’ll even take Hank Pym turning a whole building into a rolling suitcase. Which means, if you think about it, that the building was built with an extendable handle in it the whole time…
But considering this is the first MCU film to include a female superhero in the title, it’s also exciting to see that the partnership between Hope van Dyne and Scott Lang is a central theme. Especially since Scott appears to be under house arrest (because of Civil War?), which, as Hope notes in the trailer, wouldn’t have happened if he’d asked for her help.
Ant-Man And The Wasp will hit theaters on July 6, 2018.
